We make our smokers out of hardwood with a white oak chimney. The reason for that is oak handles the heat better. And we use a stainless steel bowl instead of directly burning the wood like many other smokers do. Our smokers look great and will last forever.
We have smokers on hand, but we also build to order. We can also customize our smokers with text and designs. They are great for batchelor parties, birthdays, and fathers day.
Direct smoking the finished drink leaves a strong flavor and potent smokey smell that accentuates the drink. Using a large round or square ice ball that is taller than the drink itself in the glass will add more smokey flavor. The smoke will bind to the ice more than anything else.
Just make your drink, place the smoker on the glass, add a pinch of wood chips in the bowl (with filter inside), and burn the wood with a torch lighter until you see smoke falling into your glass. Add just a little smoke, or fill the glass.
Smoke binds to ice. So freeze your glass, or add your ice to an empty glass and smoke the empty glass before adding your drink. This creates a more subtle smokey smell and flavor in the drink.
